Items magazine
Items is the leading Dutch magazine on design and related fields. From 2004 to 2008 I was the designer and one of the editors of the magazine. First at Studio Dumbar, together with Vincent van Baar. In 2006
I started my independent studio where I continued designing Items.
The cover always showed a portrait, the particular style varied every issue.
An important issue in the styling of the magazine was the specific character of the feature articles. By using typefaces from different type desingers in the world, the articles acquire a personal feel and flavour. In this way, the whole magazine became a stage, mirroring the current state of affairs in type design.
